Waiting on Wednesday: Shadow Scale

This is a weekly event hosted by Breaking the Spine, that showcases upcoming releases that we’re eagerly waiting for.

This week I’ve selected:

shadow scale

Title: Shadow Scale (Seraphina #2)
Author: Rachel Hartman
Release Date: March 10th 2015 by Random House Children’s Books

From Goodreads:

The kingdom of Goredd: a world where humans and dragons share life with an uneasy balance, and those few who are both human and dragon must hide the truth. Seraphina is one of these, part girl, part dragon, who is reluctantly drawn into the politics of her world. When war breaks out between the dragons and humans, she must travel the lands to find those like herself—for she has an inexplicable connection to all of them, and together they will be able to fight the dragons in powerful, magical ways.

As Seraphina gathers this motley crew, she is pursued by humans who want to stop her. But the most terrifying is another half dragon, who can creep into people’s minds and take them over. Until now, Seraphina has kept her mind safe from intruders, but that also means she’s held back her own gift. It is time to make a choice: Cling to the safety of her old life, or embrace a powerful new destiny?

It feels like forever since I’ve read the first book, but I’m super excited for this one to be out! I originally borrowed the first from the library so I might do the same for this one and then just wait and see if there’s eventually a pretty boxed set 🙂

What are you waiting for this week?

  1. I just finished rereading Seraphina yesterday, and it is not going to be fun to try and be good and write the review before reading Shadow Scale. Great pick!

  2. I still haven’t read the first one (despite owning it since for ever…not to mention all the wonderful things I’ve heard about it) I was hoping to catch up before this one comes out^^ especially since it releases on my birthday 😀 but so far I haven’t gotten a chance to. I hope you get to read it soon and enjoy it just as much as the first one!

    • I realy hope there is one, we need more boxsets with so many series books these days!I hope they use the original red one too but I’ll be happy with any I think 🙂

I love comments! Feel free to leave one, and if it doesn't show up right away don't worry, I just have to approve it.
