Synopsis from Goodreads:

Ghost removal specialist Ellie Jordan must face a dangerous, shape-shifting entity that she and Calvin have encountered once before, with tragic results. The spirit has the power to reach into the minds of living and feed on their fears, taking the shape of their worst nightmares, and it has awoken in search of new victims.

Now Ellie must try to succeed where she and her mentor failed before, and try to defeat the twisted and powerful old ghost before it can claim another soul for its collection.

What I Thought:

The author gave me a copy of this in exchange for an honest review.

The coolest thing about this review is that it comes out on my birthday! Talk about a coincidence eh? This book was the best in the series so far, and pretty creepy! It gave me the chills and made me afraid of my basement and the closet. My friend when I was younger made me watch poltergeist and since then I have to sleep with the closet closed, and this really reminded me of that. It doens’t help that one of my cats likes to try and open it at night…

We see more of our ghost hunting team and also learn a bit more about Ellie’s past. I really like Ellie and I’m starting to like Stacey the more I read this series. There’s even a guy who’s a hot fireman that played a part which was kind of funny and awesome at the same time.

The ghost in this was the worst so far. The way it moved around and the things it could do just freaked me out. When I was reading my husband and I heard a sound in the kitchen and we just looked at each other, then I had to put the book down for the night, even though there was nothing there.

I seriously love this series and just found out there’s going to be a fourth so I’m super happy! Make sure to check out the first, I’m sure you’ll love it!

  1. Birthday titles are the best! They make me feel like the author wrote the book just for me (yeah right!). Ooh, and happy belated birthday BTW! It’s fantastic that this series is three installments in, and that the story isn’t showing any signs of slowing down.

    • It’s so true though, especially since I lvove this series! Thank you! It was a great birthday 🙂 For sure, I’m really excited for the next one and secretly hoping there’s more books on the way.

  2. This series sounds like fun! I think I’ll have to check out the first book (and remember to not read it at night, I get way too easily freaked out when it comes to reading creepy books!)

I love comments! Feel free to leave one, and if it doesn't show up right away don't worry, I just have to approve it.
