Synopsis from Goodreads

Katy knows the world changed the night the Luxen came.

She can’t believe Daemon welcomed his race or stood by as his kind threatened to obliterate every last human and hybrid on Earth. But the lines between good and bad have blurred, and love has become an emotion that could destroy her—could destroy them all.

Daemon will do anything to save those he loves, even if it means betrayal.

They must team with an unlikely enemy if there is any chance of surviving the invasion. But when it quickly becomes impossible to tell friend from foe, and the world is crumbling around them, they may lose everything— even what they cherish most—to ensure the survival of their friends…and mankind.

War has come to Earth. And no matter the outcome, the future will never be the same for those left standing.

What I Thought

I’m really sad that this series is done now, but at the same time I’m so glad I read it! It never disappointed me and every book had something awesome to offer. I have to admit that I don’t like the cover change for this book, it feels way more flimsy and the paper is thinner in my hands. My book also includes the Shadows novella, and while I didn’t feel like reading it at this moment I will definitely be re-reading this series someday.

Since it is a 5 book series, I won’t say anything that will give past books away, but everything finally gets wrapped up in this one. The big event we were waiting for happened and it was awesome! There’s lots of action and romantic moments and some pretty tense ones. Lots more secrets were revealed and I felt really satisfied with how it was all ended.

I really can’t say it enough but this series was really good and you need to go and read it. They have a 3-book condensed version now if you’re trying to save a few pennies too! Give it a try, or if you’ve already read it let me know your thoughts!
