WWW Wednesdays (14)

This is hosted by the blog Should be Reading, and it is a weekly event where you share (1) What you’re currently reading, (2) What you recently finished reading, and (3) What you think you’ll read next.

I love to know what others are reading, and participating gives me ideas to add to my TBR list, while sharing what I’m reading. Clicking the covers will bring you to the books on Goodreads.

What are you currently reading?

  • The Calling by Kelley Armstrong- I’ve been wanting to read this for a while, just started it this morning.

What did you recently finish reading?

  • Pandemonium by Lauren Oliver-Finished this last night, it was really good!

What do you think you’ll read next?

I think I might get into the Goddess Interrupted, I need to get caught up in that series. I have the Goddess Hunt novella too, so that would probably be first.

In My Mailbox (15)

This is a weekly event hosted by The Story Siren, and a way to feature books that you receive during the week, either by mail, library, purchasing them, etc.

Library:

  • Bewitching by Alex Flinn
  • The Catastrophic History of Me and You by Jess Rothenberg

Netgalley:

  • The Moonstone Series by Marilee Brothers-Got an email from Netgalley promoting this one, so decided to see what it was like.

Bought (Kobo):

  • Pandemonium by Lauren Oliver- Couldn’t wait for the library copy, it would have taken months, and after just finishing the first book, I needed to read this one!
  • Hana by Lauren Oliver

Won:

  • My Soul to Keep by Rachel Vincent- I won this from the Soul Screamers Reading Challenge Giveaway, hosted by Fiktshun! I had a choice of the books, and since I already owned the first two in an Omnibus on my Kobo, I decided the third was the way to go.

Top Ten Tuesday-Favorite Covers of 2012 (so far)

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by the Broke and the Bookish, with a different top ten book list each week. Feel free to go to their blog and join in on the fun!

I haven’t done one of these in so long! I missed it, so I’m going to try and stick with it again.

This week: Top Ten Favorite Covers of 2012 (so far)

  1. A Beautiful Evil by Kelly Keaton-I’m reading this one right now, and I love that it’s not a profile of her face, but her back. And the hair turning into a snake fits the story perfectly.
  2. Endlessly by Kiersten White- What can I say, I love purple, and this one just looks so pretty.
  3. Girl of Nightmares by Kendare Blake- Anna+creepy background=Awesome.
  4. Until I Die by Amy Plum- I really like the fact that it’s from a street perspective, and the added swirls are gorgeous.
  5. Insurgent by Veronica Roth- I loved the symbol of the first book, and I like the idea of continuing on with that theme for this book. I like this one better than the first book.
  6. Crown of Embers by Rae Carson- Totally love it, the colours and the whole design are very pretty.
  7. The Unfailing Light by Robin Bridges- The first book I noticed, seemed to sparkle. This one looks like it will too (shiny things are awesome), but I really like the whole effect of the background too, and her dress.
  8. Thirteen by Kelley Armstrong- This cover is simple, but for some reason I still really like it. Might also have to do with the fact that I can’t wait to read this book!
  9. Pandemonium by Lauren Oliver- It looks like she’s surrounded by the Wilds, perfect cover after reading what happened in the first book.
  10. Hana by Lauren Oliver- I know this one is more of a shorter story, but the flowers are just so beautiful.
