Since I couldn’t go to BEA yet again this year, I decided to participate in this! I haven’t done it before but I’ve seen it the past few years and it looked fun. Today is introductions!
How long have you been blogging?Actually this upcoming August will mark 4 years of blogging for me! It feels like just yesterday that I started though.
What is your favorite genre and why?I’d have to say Fantasy. There’s just so much room for people to create their own worlds and adventures and I just love being taken away while reading.
What book are you reading right now?Cold Iron by Stina Leicht! It’s a High Fantasy and almost 700 pages but I’m really enjoying it so far. I don’t normally read much High Fantasy, just regular Fantasy, but after this that might have to change.
What is the top book in your TBR pile?I have quite a few actually! Probably Zeroes by Scott Westerfield. I got it recently and it just sounds sooo good. I might be reading it next depending on if I’m in the mood for it.
It’s great you’re doing Armchair this year. I’d done it last year and it was a blast meeting new bloggers. Unfortunately I can’t do it this year but I’ll be around I hope to see who are participating. Good luck and hope next year you’ll make it to the real deal, if not, you still ha e Armchair. 🙂
Thank you! I’m enjoying it so far. Yes hopefully I can go to the real thing next year 🙂
Don’t you just love preorders? I order books like that all the time. I look forward to your ABEA posts and am looking forward to getting to know you and your your blog throughout the week.
I do! Plus I love book mail so it makes it even better!
Aww thank you!
I think a lot of people must like fantasy, judging from the books that are published. I read all middle grade, and over half of the books I see are fantasy. Hope you have fun with Armchair BEA. Oh! I see a Katie Alender title on your side bar– I can’t wait to read The Dead Girls of Hysteria Hall!
Yeah I’ve seen fantasy around a ton! Thank you 🙂
I was confused about the author thing you mentioned at first then I realized it’s my most popular posts lol. I didn’t know the author had another book coming. I’ll check it out!
I think just about everyone I visited has said they’ve been blogging for four years! 2011 must have been a great year for blogging; that’s when I started, too!
Yay! There must have been a blogging bug going around that year lol.
I love fantasy too. It’s just so much fun to read and experience. )
It sure is! 😀
Hi there. Great introduction. I’m not a huge fantasy fan, but isn’t it wonderful we have so many genres to choose from. Looking forward to a fun week. Ashley at Chronicles
I love fantasy too, a great escape! Happy ABEA!
Thank you!
Yay! I’m glad you’re participating again. 🙂 You’ve been blogging a long time! That’s amazing. I’m just coming up on my first year in July.
I need to read more fantasy! I read like none and there are so many good fantasy series out (Throne of Glass, Game of Thrones, The Lunar chronicles, The Orphan Queen, etc.). It’s ridiculous I haven’t read (finished) any of them!
I think I’ve heard vaguely of Zeroes but I’m not sure! It sounds interesting with the title alone.
I’ll have to check out the books you’re looking forward to this summer! I think I’ve heard of Stars Never Rise, but I’m not sure. 🙂
Happy ABEA!
You should definitely read more fantasy! If you need any recommendations let me know! But Throne of Glass is a good one for sure. Check out Zeroes too, it reminds me of X-Men a bit.
Thank you! 🙂
Fantasy’s definitely something I want to read more of. 🙂 I’ve heard about Zeroes recently! I’ll check it out.
I’m so looking forward to reading The Stars Never Rise!!
Yay! It came in yesterday actually, like a week early, so I’m hoping to read it next 🙂
