TGIF (15)-A Book Blogger is Born

TGIF is a weekly feature every Friday hosted by Ginger at GReads, to re-cap the week’s posts, and answer a question of the week. Feel free to join!

This Week’s question:  A Book Blogger is Born: What made you decide to start your very own book blog?

Well, I always liked reading, though I didn’t do it as often before. I created my own personal blog on WordPress so I could test out the website for work, and then started out doing the Post a Day they had on here for fun. I blog hopped to a lot of different blogs, then I found a book blogger’s site, Lucy from The Reading Date . I followed her, and eventually found a link on her blog, to the Bout of Books 1, which I participated in. I had so much fun, so I decided to add more bookish stuff to my blog to see how I liked it.

Then I figured, why not try to write a  few reviews on books that I loved?  So I did that, and then I found out about Goodreads and joined last fall, so I could keep track of everything I read. Then there was another read-a-thon, and I decided then that I wanted to keep up with this blogging, since it was so much fun and I met so many awesome people. I’m so glad that I did!

  1. Thanks for the shout-out, Kelsey! I love to see all the fun you’re having with your blog. I’m glad you took the plunge into book blogging 🙂 I want to join bout of books again but I think I’ve discovered I suck at read-a-thons.
